into your webbrowser address window, then select Inspirion in the pc type drop-down menu, then select 2500 in the model window. This process took me perhaps 15 seconds to find drivers for this laptop.
Actually Dell's drivers for this notebook are a mess. The diagnostics do not work. There are two different kinds of mini-pci combo cards (why?) and neither of them seems to work, and the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio seems to be a phantom device that no-one has drivers for except those "we will scan your PC for free" guys who actually charge $29.95 for the code.
I feel for u 'gc'. Good luck. To Jerry K, I have to ask, do you actually find useful drivers for this device or did u just follow Dell's rabbit trail?
