DRIVER NEEDED: Compaq 1540DM (Windows 98SE)

I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE VIDEO DRIVER FROM THE COMPAQ WEBSITE BUT IT DOESN,T WORK. IT IS FOR OS WIN95. I CALLED COMPAQ AND THEY SUGGESTED GOING TO A FORUM TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS A DRV THAT WORKS. IT IS A CHIPS AND TECH VIDEO DRV AND I CAN'T FIND THEIR TECH SUPPORT # OR WEB SITE. HELP FRED

Please do not post in upper case typing. Besides being difficult to read, it's considered YELLING.
It wouldn't matter if there was a website for Chips and Technoligies. Laptops require specific drivers from the laptop maker, eg: Compaq (now owned by HP). Generic drivers will not work on a laptop pc.
