DRIVER NEEDED: Dell Computer Inspiron 5100 (Windows 2000 Workstation)

Reinstalled Windows 2000 on this notebook after XP system crashed. Most everything works fine except cannot get greater than 16 color low res video. Have been on ntcompatability.com and tried alleged fix using xp driver. BIOS has been updated to lastest. Display is supposed to be ATI Radeon 7500 according to posts I have seen on other sites. Dell says that there is no 2000 driver for that machine. Any suggestions. no.email.addys@allowed.net

Best advice I can offer is reinstall XP back onto the machine.

I ran into a similar problem with video drivers and i actually use a 3rd party driver made my OmegaDrivers.net . However, these drivers are no longer supported by ATI, but i have been running this driver for over a year. Heres the link: http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php - just look for your card and OS , then download

ATI has never supported laptop video. Laptops cannot use generic drivers, only specific drivers from the laptop maker or "hacked" for laptop drivers which omegadrivers.net has... along with a few other companies like:

and
www.notebookdriverdownload.com
