HELP NEEDED: Toshiba twinhead a5020 (Windows XP Professional)

Hello and thanks for your time .
I cant get the USB to work at all .

It is not mentioned in the BIOS and hence the OS. (win2k professional) cant see it .
Everything else is ok .

The laptop is old and second hand.
I am normally fairly handy with PC's as I have built my own some time ago .

But this has me beat .

: You will never get the USB TO WORK, BECAUSE IT IS NOT WIRED IN TO THE MOTHERBOARD. Nor is the LAN or MODEM.
