HELP NEEDED: NEC lavie nx pc-lw333d74d6 (Windows XP Professional)

I got a problem with its bios. it is not a acpi. there fore windows doesnt informs its battery state. Can some body help me out to solve this problem or get me some newer version of bios for this device. the bios version currently installed on this is. phoenix bios 4.0 release 6.0. Plz avise with the solution and ablige. Thanks
