*** Help With Gameport In Xp ***

I have a Basics Gameport joystick adapter by New Media Corp that I have had for years. It is PCMCIA. Now, I have a new Gateway laptop with XP. I cant get the drivers to install for it under XP. Can anybody please help?? I have also tried Windows COmpatibility mode but that doesnt seem to work either.
