HELP NEEDED: Everex stepnote (Windows ME)

I am looking for a way to upgrade the bios since the laptop came with a 2 gig and I upgraded to a 10 gig and tghe current bios only reads 2gigs

visit the Hard Drive makers web site,...READ provided FAQ's then download setup software.

this BIOS problem was resolved by drive makers years ago and does NOT require a bios update
note that while a bios update may be available, no model number = no help

No can do the harddrive manufacturer does not fix the problem

i have purchased a used everex stepnote st laptop and had it shipped to me.i can get power to it but cannot turn it on,i may be laptop stupid,because i have never used one before,could someone please help me?
