Hp 710 C networked Printer

I have a HP 710 C On a windows 2000 I have a windows '98 machine on my network I have loaded the HP drivers for windows '98 on but still can't get the machine to print to the HP Printer. It is shared and is on my network. The manual (Writen in 1998) say that there is no bi-directional support for Windows NT on this Printer. Is there a way to work around this?
