Default finding the right graphics driver

I've been trying to play a pc game for a few days now and it always crashes, saying it crashes using safe graphics options. I have an s3 graphics driver so I guess it doesn't work for my game and I need a new one. But every time I try to download a driver from here, I need a previously installed version of that driver to use it. Where can I get one?
