: It is an internal drive, and has stopped working, I am told by the computer that the drivers are corrupt and need to be reinstalled. I have checked everywhere and I am unable to find the driver, sony, here, and windows update.

Microsoft is WRONG in their software notification system. Drivers are not installed manually...they are installed automatically by the system after the drive is configured properly, installed in the pc, bios properly set, and system is booted up. No intervention by the user is required. When the drive is not detected automatically then you have a reegistry problem. No big deal and easy to fix... just follow the instructions Microsoft has posted for curing the problem.
Follow the instructions posted for deleting the upper and lower filters then reboot the system. Drive should then be detected ok.
