idea Re: DRIVER NEEDED: Interact-Europe I-73611E (Windows XP Professional) [USB]

Interact is no longer in business (since about 2002), and they made no new drivers for XP.

Here are instructions I found to make the wheel work in windows 2000 & XP. It also works if you set it up as 2 axis/4 button joystick but this works better. Sorry but the software that came with the wheel is no good under 2000/XP. Hope this helps:

Here's how to do it. Click Start, Settings, and open Control Panel, Double-click Gaming Options, under the Controllers Tab choose ADD and scroll down and choose 6 Button Joystick (NOT 6 Button Joystick with Throttle or it gets confused).

Stay on the Controllers page and click on the Properties Button. You will see Throttle and Rudder Bars in Red. Ignore These. Click on the Settings Tab and then select Calibrate. The Device Calibration Wizard will pop up. Click a button on the Wheel and the X and Y axis page will show. Move the wheel to far right and then far left. Push the throttle all the way down and then the brake. (You may have to do this a couple of times until it centers itself.)

Click Next, Ignore the throttle and Rudder tests and click Next and then Finish the Wizard. Then exit Control Panel. If you have the Interact V3 Wheel software installed and you can see it under Programs in the Start Menu. And you click it, it will state that there is no wheel connected. Don't worry about it, it still works fine with the Games. With Nascar 3 I have Steering (linear) Selected and used the calibrate Joystick 1 to set it up. I also have wheel selected in options for NHRA Drag Racing.
