Default Help Need to Install WebCam GE111

Hello! I'm trying to use my webcam genius ge111, but it's not working.. i've already download the driver but when i try to use my webcam, occurs this error: "No video capture device was detected on your system. This application requires a functional video capture device such as a USB webcamera".
Ok, so i try the Scan Driver, from Driver Guide, and the device that is not working properly is the usb camera, wich vendor detected is SONIX, not GENIUS.
Now, somebody can explain me what is happenig and how can i use my webcam?

Thanks!

It sounds like you don't have the right driver. Have you checked the manufacturers website for the correct driver? I would never use a driver from any source except the manufacturer. You must remember that drivers uploaded to driverguide.com are mostly from members who are amateurs... they're not always dependable.

This is a Utility program that will detect the chipset in your webcam. Provided by Vimicro.

File name: ChipTypedetector.zip
File size: 123 kb.

Unzip to a temp folder, install and run program, repost with results.

I have the same problem. When i automatically detect the driver it says CIF Single Chip, it then goes to the end of the installation and pops up with a blank error box, but does complete the installation. The cam doesn't work and it just goes round in circles like this. I have used the driver from the cd and from download. nothing helps.

Does the install disk say it's for the OS you're running? And for the camera you're using?

ZIP or RAR the disk files into a single compressed file, upload it (using the link provided), post a link to it, so we can take a look at it and see what the problem is.

It might also help to say what OS you're using.......and your computer specs.
