Question Mat a DVD-rom not recognized

I have an IBM thinkpad i gout last summer. it came with a Mat a UJDA720 DVD/CDRW drive. about a month ago the drive stopped being recognized as the driver for it is Corrupt/missing (code 39 when i try to re-install it from the add hardware wizard) can anyone help? i tried downloading other drivers for this drive from this site but they didnt seem to work?
