A Toshiba MK1252GSX is not a hard disk controller, it's a hard drive. Hard drives do not require a driver in any OS. Support for a hard drive comes from the system BIOS and the hard disk controller. Most ide hard disk controllers are supported natively by the OS.
SATA hard disk controllers are only supported natively by Windows Vista. There is no SATA support in Windows XP and older OS's.
And this drive doesn't have a PCMCIA interface, it's has an ATA-8 interface.
