I don't understand your computer speak. You must have bios turned on in order for the machine to work. When you do a reset of the bios, you must go back in and set certain parameters like what hard drives you have installed, what optical drives you have installed, and what features you want turned on or off, eg: enabled or disabled.
There's no need to erase a hard drive since formatting will do that for you.
