idea student

does any know of a usb wireless driver for a device? i am talking a truly universal driver. is there any way to write one? how about a driver for a realtek 8180 card for mac os 9?

please actually think about what you are asking!!

1. if we remove all current devices/operating systems and stop any new devices/OS's from being developed, then set one standard that is not allowed to change or improve. then yes you could do this.

2. or you could have every device ever made and all future devices compiled into a giantic driver which keeps getting larger and larger till it can no longer be loaded in systems with less than infinate ram/storage ability.

do either of the above sound reasionable? we would think it's more reasionable for "you" to buy a MAC compatable network card than ask everyone else to conform to your need for a older product not having the os support you wish.
