Question ST Lab IEEE 1394a and USB Combo Express Card Drivers for Windows Vista?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an Express Card made by ST Lab with a combo USB and Firewire ports. The USB ports work fine but I cannot find my camcorder, which I connect through the Firewire port. The box said that the device was compatible with Windows Vista but I'm beginning to think that that was incorrect.

Does anyone know anything about this situation and have any fixes or drivers?

Here's some system info:

System: Toshiba Satellite L300-ST2501
OS: Windows Vista
Express Card: ST Lab Combo USB2.0 + IEEE 1394a

I'm not that technically literate with computers, so please keep it clean

Cheers in advance,
Jason

Is the device listed in Device Manager? It should be. I believe it's Plug and Play in Windows, at least from 98 up thru XP [but not sure about Vista].

Just be aware that with an old BIOS, your machine might freeze when switching the drive on, so you can have the pleasure of getting a BIOS update to support Logical Block Address (LBA) for 48bits. So it might help to update your system bios.
