Default Voice modem and its driver for Win98se

My ISP provided a ADSL modem and it was not voice modem at all...Then, if i'd like to make it a voice modem should i buy the other one or i could just download some drivers and make the original one into a voice modem?...(Stupid question huh...)...

Not at all... a stupid question is one not asked.

I doubt software can overcome hardware limitations. What exact function or application do you wish to use that includes voice?

Perhaps you can ask your isp if it can be done or if it can be exchanged for a model that does include the functions you desire. And it's possible the device manufacturer can help but some don't provide end user support. It has something to do with contractual obligations. However, they can't do anything to you for asking.

I suspected that the reason of why the ISP wouldn't provide you a modem that includes voice modem functionality could possibly be to avoid phone recording to PC by their costomers....And it's exactly why i'd like to do now...HeHeHe....
