***STOP: 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. I get this message when changing motherboards on a Win2K system, or when moving the drive from one machine to another. Microsoft's web site suggests that it may be a hard disk controller driver problem. I ran into this at work, where I maintain three computers running Win2K Pro, after changing a defective motherboard on one machine. I've duplicated the problem by installing Win2K Pro on one of my own machines, and then transferring the drive to another machine. Same error. It happens whenever I put the drive in a machine with a different motherboard/chipset, regardless of which machine I use to install the OS. Is there any way to work around this, perhaps by manually installing an IDE driver? It would be much better than losing all the data. Thanks.
