Realtek only makes chipsets.... someone else made your NIC. Please provide the real manufacturer and model number. For example,
Linksys makes the
WUSB54G that contains a RT2500USB chipset. Also,
Belkin makes the
F5D7050 network adapter that also contains a RT2500USB chipset. There are probably other manufacturers that use this same chipset in their network adapter. You should look on the manufacturers website to check for driver availability.
Also in
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services is their a service called something similar to
RT2500 USB Wireless LAN Driver? if so is it running and set to auto?
