There is no such sound chip as Intel 82801. The real chipset type and number will be required before we can help. Also indicate the pc brand and model that it came installed in and say if it's a desktop or laptop computer. Sound chips are made by companies like Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMAX, VIA, and IDT (formerly Sigmatel).
Or..... Open Device Manager, find and double-click the sound device, click the Details tab, select "hardware id" and give me the hardware id string that begins with "PCI\VEN", (1st./top line of text only).
There's only about 3 dozen (or more) threads in this forum identical to yours. The answer is always the same.
