Hey, I'm using Windows 7 and I can't find the driver for this huawei usb cdma-modem anywhere. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find it if it exists at all.

This device is only supported in the following OS's: Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP

You can try the driver hw658-2.rar posted here: http://www.huaweikj.com/en/showpro.aspx?id=1494 (but I think it's the same driver as the one posted on driverguide.com)

Your other option is to try some of the generic drivers included with the OS. Use Add New Hardware, then select Modems, you may have to experiment with several and even then there's no guarantee that any will work.

If you'll give me some info from Device Manager, I will attempt to find a driver. In Device Manager, double-click the device, select the Details tab, give me the 1st line of text there... it should start with USB\VID_.................

Copy that exact hardware id string to notepad, then copy and paste it back here in a post.
