ati2dvag infinite loop prob

hi guys. newbie here and definitely not a pc geek. I have a ati2dvag problem with my pc ( win XP) main problem is that blue screen error of ati2dvag infinite loop and i experienced this several times.

one forum i searched told to :

Right click on My Computer
Choose Properties
Choose the Hardware(Tab)
Choose Device Manager(button)
Click the [+] next to System devices
Right click on CPU to AGP Controller**
(**i wasnt able to see this, although i found "sis processor to agp controller"

do i need to download this driver ->via cpu to agp controller?

after that, that rest of the instruction reads:

Choose the Update Driver(button)

Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
Choose Next(button)
Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install."
Choose Next(button)
Select PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Hit Next(button)
Hit Finish(button)
Reboot.

Don't you have a driver for your ATI video/graphics adapter? If you do, then reinstall it. When a system has the correct drivers installed, they normally work (unless there's a hardware problem or the wrong driver is installed).

Unfortunately I dont have one. Any suggestions? Appreciate this a lot.

This is not the driver request forum. You will need to create a thread in the Driver Request forum and include model numbers and brand names for the hardware you need a driver for. Also indicate the interface (eg: how it connects to your computer) as well as the computer brand and model. And make mention of whether it's used in a laptop or desktop computer. And last, make sure you tell us if it's an integrated (eg: on the motherboard) device or is it a pci or agp add-on card. The device maker or computer vendor/manufacturer should have drivers posted. I need a better hardware description than the word "ati2dvag" as I have no clue what that is (or even if it's a hardware device). ATI is a video chipset maker. The Tech Support forum (the one you posted in) is not designed for driver requests.... you'll see what I mean when you post in the proper forum as you are presented (a request form) with several menu windows to select different things from that allow us to be able to help you. Without that info, we cannot do anything for you. Don't skip any items and choose the correct choices.
