Well folks, I screwed up. I played around with reformatting and partitioning my hard drive not know I could not use the old restore disk from cpq. Any direction as to how to get the driver information for Video, ( it's built in?) etc.? I have 98 SE installed now and my view sonic only has 16 colors so I'm that far.

HP is still hosting compaqs FTP server farm.. They should have your drivers in form of what they so lovingly and I so hatingly called a SoftPac, Friggin hate'em it was very difficult to determine what the softpac contained and often the discriptions would not cover what files were in the "Zipped Image"
Try the FTP...
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/
Or specify the system/chipset...
