have a "tested to be working "sis 900 pci fast ethernet adapter and drivers...with a tested and working ericsson hm200c docsis cable modem...network connections sy it is unplugged/dissconnection...which is not true ...alll connections checked and tested x2 and cables even changed...power on ...proper ports etc...iis installled ...still not able to get the disable to enable and show a connection....any suggestions....please and thanks so much.....Kareboutkatz

Please explain what your term "network connections sy" means.
Sounds like your trying to use a cable modem to connect to other computers. That's not what it's designed to do... a cable modem is designed to connect your computer to the internet.
If the cable modem is connected to your ethernet card (via the proper cable)and drivers are installed for the ethernet card, then you should be able to connect to the internet (but not to other network computers). Cable modems are configured with your browser using the default modem ip address... usually 192.168.1.1. Access is usually restricted to those having the default password... "admin". (unless it has been previously changed)
You must have TCP/IP Protocol installed as well.
Please contact your internet service provider for instructions on configuring the cable modem to their system and/or read the modem instruction manual.
