Hi, anyone out there help on this? I have a Laptop 2650(dell), I have a Umax Astra 1600U.

I put in the Installation CD for this device, the list of Manufactures, well, (not recognized), but other Umax scanners are, which I dont have!

Is it at all possible, for another driver to be downloaded for my device, if so....WHAT??, for it to work properply on my Laptop!

let me get this straight.
U've got a CD which doesn't contain the drivers 4 ur specific Umax Scanner model.
If that's the problem, change the CD wif the place that u bought it.

Drivers only concern on which device its made for, and which OS its written to use that specific device.

E.g. A Windows 98 needs a Win98 driver made for ur Umax Astra 1600U,
not a Windows Millenium Edition, or Windows XP driver.

The specific drivers, corresponds with the device and the OS.
