I just needed to find out if it was possible to use a HP Win95 multimedia keyboard on a Dell Win98SE? I love the keyboard, but can't seem to make it work right. I have tried about 4 or 5 different drivers. I am a power user & know how to work in DOS. Thank you for any help you can provide. My email ad. is: thanatos@pokynet.com. Thanks again.

You need the OEM Install disk for HP (the one that the keyboard was originally attached to.)
In DOS (not the Windows compatible dos) but boot to dos.
Access the CD, go to drivers (not sure directory structure on your disk)
Copy the whole directory to a newly created file on C: (you can set the directory up in Win98 - call it something like Win95 drivers.)
reboot to Win98
go to install new hardware, go thru the whole dectect proc.. when it allows you to choose what you are installing click the have disk, direct it to that folder, find the file for your keyboard and install.
Question tho: What is wrong with the keyboard that came with the Dell?
