External Modem not being found on Windows Xp Startup unless the Modem is turned on. Im sure I have the drivers loaded correctly for this
modem. If the modem is turned off and I boot up the machine there is
no modem loaded in Windows Xp PRO. I either have to reinstall the
drivers or reboot with the Modem turned on.. This was never the case
before I formatted and rebuilt the machine. Am I missing a setting or do
you think I should formatt and start again ?

I have looked in Microsoft help and checked their support pages.

If you have a com port external modem you have to turn on it every restart.
