Jerry K - I have downloaded and run U2kxp_v292.exe. I then restarted my computer and plugged in the Artec 1236 USB to my motherboard USB port. I am using a Sony Vaio PCV-RX650 tower with WinXP Home.
When I attempt to start 1236USB+Ultima2000 this is the error I receive:

Cannot Opperate!
1. Please check that the scanner connects to the computer.
2. Make sure that the scanner connects to the power and the LED light is on (Yes, the LED is on)
3. Note that you cannot connect the scanner to the power bus device.
When I attempt to 'find' new hardware, there is a USB device found (with the yellow exclamation beside it). When I investigate this 'USB device' the explanation is:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Not sure why the drivers aren't installed after I downloaded and executed U2kxp_v292.exe; then rebooted.
Any ideas?
