I have a Cirrus Logic (a.k.a Crystal Semiconductors) CS4280-CM Onboard PCI sound card under Windows 98SE. I did not have the "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth" because I had a VxD and NOT a WDM driver installed. After I searching for the "right" WDM driver and installing it I notice that the "Crystal SoundFusion(tm) FM" device is gone!!, and only the "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth" is installed. I have tried a number of different drivers ranging in size fom 1-10 MB. All of them have done the EXACT same thing! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
