i have just updated from win 98 2nd to xp and macine hangs after logon,

even does this after updating xp driver.

soundcard is soundblaster pci128

need help asap otherwise the hammer comes out !!!

1. Remove The Card
2. Remove the drivers in safe mode
3. Reboot
4. Go to Local Computer Shop
5. Buy ATLEAST sb pci 512
6. Drive Home to offending System
7. Threaten Said system with hammer using atleast 1 swear word
8. Install freashly purchased sound card
9. Install drivers
10. Reboot


Sounds like you have a bad card
