I have a Gateway Solo 1150 notebook that has an internal dial up modem. The laptop came with Windows ME so I upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro. Now my modem does not work. I spkoe with Gateway and they want me to upgrade my modem, because they do not have drivers that support Win 2000 Pro on this laptop, even thought the sticker on the laptop says it will work with Windows 2000 Pro or Windows Me. I asked them to tell me the manufacturer on my modem and they refused to tell me that information, because then I could search and find a driver for my modem. However, they would tell me what modem I could upgrade to to fix my problem so that I would not have to worry about finding a driver. How nice of them. Can anyone provide me with a driver that will run my internal, dial up modem?
