i recently got an old computer with Piii processor and Asus P3BF M/B, but everytime i tried to install an ethernet card (Dlink,10/100, with OS Windows 98Se), it always said "unable to browse network" although i have done all the necessary settings (the same settings have been used in all other computers in the network)
when i rechecked the hardware in the device manager, the ethernet card is installed and work properly, but there is an unknown device with name "pci input controller", it said that the drivers for this device is not installed. i've tried to search for the driver for this device, but i couldn't find it in an ASUS P3BF driver cd (i borrowed it from a friend who use the same M/B). and everytime i tried to update the BIOS, the computer always crashed (no activity in a long time)
