I have mobo M726. I instaled W2K OS.
When I inserting the firewire card (VIA chipset) and run scanning for new devices, W2K find nothing. It seems that W2K did not recognise this card.
Any suggestions?
I have latest version of BIOS (which should support those kind of hardware (?))

check the website of the company that made the card. it sounds like you need 2k compatible drivers. they should be on the companies site.

The PcChips M726 has the ALi Alladin Pro II chipset

it usually means only one thing=
bad connection or defective device
test on a different machine!
