HI I have Win XP kr on P4 2.4b. When I converted one of my partition it said NTLDR Missing. Only thing I know is NTLDR stands fot NT Loader and Win XP is based on Win NT kernal. Can you tell me how to fix it without reformatting the HDD?

Let's try and fix your 16-bit NT system to stop the error C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. This is caused by corrupt system files. hence the "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem" message.

Download xp_fix.exe (www.visualtour.com/downloads/xp_fix.exe) and run it. Reboot your computer when finished. Now when you run the application file you should not get this error message.

Additional information about this error and how to fix it manually can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767
