I have formatted my computer and reinstalled win 98.
After I have done this the audio no longer works and there is no sound on my computer! When I try to play a audio file I get the message "no audio hardware is available or hardware is not responding".
I have a sony vaio computer and my speakers are part of the monitor.

Duh! Sound cards/sound chipsets require Windows 98 drivers when used in Windows 98 operating system. Please provided a description of your sound card and/or pc system... then post a driver request in the DRIVER REQUEST FORUM, Sound Card section.
