1: What's the file extension.
2: Make sure u have winzip or winrar.
3: The extension has to be *.zip *.rar *.exe *.msi otherwise you`ve downloaded the drivers for mac.

is best to leave it alone i hear that many people try to upgrade their BIOS and they mess it up. is best to leave it alone and forget it.

I suspect that what you have downloaded is not the driver for the motherboard, rather, it is a BIOS update file. You would probably need quite a fair bit of technical knowledge about your computer before you start meddling with the BIOS flash. I would suggest that you get a copy of the motherboard CD, maybe from the dealer. Or find the right driver files. (Not firmware.)

If you have a *.bin file, that's not a driver, it's a bios firmware update. Fimrware is not installed the same as drivers. To install firmware you must first make sure you have the right firmware and know what issues it addresses. Firmware isn't to be installed just because it can be... make sure you have a reason for installing it and also make sure it addresses the problem your experiencing. BIN files must be installed using a FLASH program (usually has a name like AWARDFLASH.EXE or similiar). As everyone has already advised, don't try to install firmware unless you know what your doing. By doing so you can kill a good motherboard.
