I was given a computer that is a home networking computer. I installed winxp on it but the modem doesn't work so I downloaded new drivers and copied them to a CD. When I put the CD in the computer to copy it to the harddrive so that I can unzip and install the drivers, it won't accept it. I've tried 3 different cd's and it doesn't recognize anything is in the cd rom. Yet the CD Rom does recognize other things and when I put the CD in my laptop, it recognizes that the file is on there. Any suggestions?

I never ever Understood this problem is like is the computer doesn't want u to install them well i have a few solutions i had that problem once with a printer.

1: put the drivers several times in the disc rename them zip them do what ever u want with them just don't leave them in it's original zip file or name. extract the files put them there anything u can think of just to modify the files.

2: u could try putting them in floppys. if any file is bigger then the floppy use winzip to split the files.

hope it helps.
