If you have a mother board manual, (if you dont have one, get one)
The other option is pulling the onboard battery out for about 30 minutes, this will cause the bios to go back to the default settings!

If you have a manual, you will notice on the board diagram that there are three pins. On some boards its called the CMOS RAM clear sector!
Pins 1 & 2 are normal mode and pins 2 & 3 will Clear the CMOS (BIOS)!
Most boards are shipped with with pins 2 & 3 jumpered.

Don, you are a genius, you saved me loads of inconvenience, and Dell hundreds of dollars. I was scheduled to have a technician come out and replace my motherboard after a bios flash that went bad. All I needed was to remove the motherboard battery for a bit, and the stupid Dell technician I spoke to had no idea what he was talking about.

may sound stupid, but with everything being so easy nowadays, disproportionate sector of human population is dependant entirelly on performance of useless, redundant or unneccessary tasks mimicking employment.....
