here is a tricky one... I have a friend to came to me for help, he was trying to get a old game to work and ran into this error. However this error also seems to have appeared before when other programs were being installed. I scanned his drive and he appears to have some unsigned drivers for his printer, is that the problem? Can you help me??

There is nothing in the error message indicating printer trouble. It's plainly states you have a problem with your Symantec product. Try reinstalling it to see if the eliminates the error message. A way to check would be to uninstall and then reboot. If the error message doesn't appear you know the problem is with the Symantec product.

ok I un installed the program and now it doesnt let us reinstall it... it is still the same error message as well. Could you also define the Symantec's funtions etc...
