I just updated to windows xp on a compaq 7478 from windows 98. The cd burner and dvd player are recognized but don't seem to work coreectly. If anyone has advice please help.

Please explain what "doesn't seem to work correctly"...... Windows XP provides native support that will allow your drive to burn disks. However, quality recording software will do a better job. Dvd drives require dvd decoding software that's compatible with the drive and os. Until you can provide additional information/details, this is all we can offer. :hdspin: |
