I have just installed this drive, and am having problems. It will only read Audio CD's. When an audio cd is in the drive Easy CD Creator recognizes the drive can write at 32x (shows no other speeds though), when a data cd or no cd is in the drive Easy CD Creator shows the drive can write 2x and 6x.
I have tried the drive as a Master, Slave and on its own with no difference. I have updated the firmware to 008h (latest).
Any help would be great.

So... what exactly is your problem or question?

What is the purpose of inserting a data or no cd then looking in Easy Cd Creator to see what writing speed is shown?
If drive records at 32x ok, I don't see a problem.
If drive reads data or music disks, I don't see a problem.
You must state the problem encountered before we have a clue how to offer a suggestion. :sleep:
