I have an Emachine that has a Toshiba SD-M1202 CD/DVD 5x in it. I have gotten the cd portion to play cd's but I cannot get the DVD to play. Is there anyone out there that can help me with this problem?

DVD drives require compatible dvd decoding software in order to play dvd disks. WinDVD or PowerDVD seem to be the most popular titles. Both are available from their respective manufacturer's at the links below:

Trial versions are available free. However, trial versions are limited in play time per title and total time before expiring. Both can be upgraded to full working versions online for a nominal fee.
