I have a VIA Spacewalker AV18E motherboard with a 1.1 Ghz Celeron processor and running Windows XP Professional. Since the last time I reloaded my computer (well over a year ago), I haven't been able to use the USB ports. If I plug in a device, XP will make a sound indicating that a device has been attached, but when XP tries to load the drivers, it always bombs out. I've loaded the most recent motherboard and USB drivers, but nothing seems to work. I'd appreciate anyone's advice about what else I could try.

Stay away from the service pack it still has some bugs in it!
Why not go download VIA 4in1 drivers, which is for all VIA chipsets,
including USB 2.
