I have Win XP and an anti-virus running on my laptop.

I submit my help-request for DGT problems, no one ever response.

The host of DriverGuide just sits there, scam the money without conscience, and fix nothing. :furious:

So, I try figure out few things, but still got stucked.

1st Problem: Cannot even start the DGT.
After so many Trys of uninstall, restart, and re-install, the
Solution: TURN OFF the Anti-Virus software, DGT then can be started.

After DGT scanned computer, now it cannot connect with DG's server.
:zombie:
Error Message I got: [An error occurred creating the search string. Please try again later.]

I have tried many times "again" later for whole day and whole week.

I come to conclusion that the webmaster of DG was cutting down the cost, so their server is forever down. There is actually NO such thing of DG server to find the drivers for you anymore.

So, though the DGT scan for you, you have mannual update EVERYTHING by searching it some where else.

I really don't know why I pay for their premiere memebership.

This is totally a SCAM. :yell:

I am reporting them to:
Internet Crime Complaint Center
http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Feel free to file another complaint. :director:
This scam website ought to be shut down.

Where is this previous request for help you speak of, ie: the url please? I don't believe you've ever posted any previous request for help (on this site) since your post count is ONE. Your post count would have to be at least 2 (or more) before you would have a previous thread anywhere on this site.

I suggest you forget about using DGT since you don't seem to be able to make it work. Then just post a description of your pc system, motherboard, and on-board hardware along with a description of what exactly is the problem and perhaps someone can help you.

Since your problem doesn't appear to be Windows XP related, I'm moving your thread to a more appropriate forum.
