Unfortunately, HP has nothing posted for this model and Windows XP except a bios update.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?os=228&softwareitem=pv161en&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=59366

HP doesn't even tell what the chipset or NIC card is... absolutely nothing. So the next task is to identify the hardware.

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/EVEREST-Home-Edition-Download-16369.html

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

This board is made by Trigem for HP and is called "Fresno Cognac" -- http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=bph05159

BIOS update: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?lc=en&cc=us&softwareitem=pv161en

The user manual (www.motherboards.org/files/manuals/125/cognac.pdf) for this mb. doesn't list a NIC. That indicates it's an add-on card. Am I right? So you should pull it out and look it
over for identification.

Also the Everest program will probably identify everything in the board as an Intel 82801.

I don't have the manual for it and yes it's a addon card. Once I get time I will take it apart and get the details of the network card.
