I purchased a 24x DVD Writer (Super Allwrite) which has Litescribe capabilities. However, according to the documentation, I must use the Nero 7 Essentials software that came with the unit. When I try to make a backup copy of a CD or DVD I get an error that there is no media in the tray. Please advise. In the hardware manager this device is listed as: ATAPI DVD A DH20A4P.

Does the drive read a data or music disk ok?

Is it listed in "My Computer" and "Device Manager"?

Is it a new drive with a new problem? Has it ever worked?
