can ne1 help me with getting win xp installed on my vista hp pav. dv5 1150us laptop ? the xp setup does not detects my sata hard drive. used nlite to integrate drivers but it didn't work.

Are you saying the sata drivers you integrated on the nLite disk don't work or the nLite created disk doesn't work? Where did you get the sata drivers that you integrated on the nLite disk?
Did you get the sata driver from the chipset maker or from HP? What is the sata controller chipset? ie: Intel, Via, other?
First verify what the hardware is then check to see if the driver you used is the matching driver.

1. I m not sure abt the drivers that worked or not. actually wat hapnd is when there comes "Press F6 for RAID drivers" I pressed F6 n after some time the xp setup asked me to give the drivers, so I pressed S but as I am using a newly build hp laptop there is no floppy drive then how can I give the drivers to the installation setup. That means I can never install xp because I dont have a floppy drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your machine doesn't have a floppy drive, then you must use nLite software to integrate the SATA controller drivers onto a custom Windows XP installation disk.

Yes a SATA controller chipset is: Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.

If your documentation doesn't have the hardware identification, then the only way to know what the chipset is, is by reinstalling Vista. Then look in Device Manager and it will tell you what the SATA Controller is.

You are right, the SATA controller is Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller. The links I posted earlier has this driver link so go over the list and check. I thought I had posted the link but guess I overlook it, but just look and you can find it. Or just use the driver you currently have.

1.ok my frnd. thx. I tried again using nlite with my drivers and the Iso worked. now I can install xp. but I googled a lot abt the xp thing, that after installing xp many poeple said that their pc did not boot n gave some technical error. so wat abt that ?
2. I hope u have seen my device mgr image that I gave u abv. now plz help me in getting each n every hardware driver for xp. specifically I am not able to find drivers for

dont worry. i think you have to read all things while installing windows xp. when it start (on blue screen)(when loading drivers) it ask if you need to install 3rd party drivers press f2 or something. please read it carefully. and try with common sata drivers. i also did it and works fine

Yes, it's something, but it's not F2. Try F6 and you'll have better luck.
