Looking for drivers for a T2885 I'm working on for a customer. Customer support is TERRIBLE, they linked me to a page with drivers for the motherboard but all of the drivers say it's the wrong hardware. Not too experienced =P, I can't find the motherboard information at all on the PC itself, all I can get is a BIOS Revision if that's at all useful. Help on IDing this damn motherboard and getting me some drivers? The odd thing is that the restore disc didn't restore any drivers, so I think this is a refurbished computer and has a different mobo in it or something.

Support Information:
Device Type: BIOS / Motherboard
Manufacturer: Emachines
Model: T2885
Interface: Other
Operating System: Windows XP Home
Age of Device: Not specified
FCCID:

Find it on DriverGuide (http://members.driverguide.com/index.php?action=srch&sm=b&aax=&qa6=365&qa5=1&qa7=1500&dp=3&qm0=T2885&jmd=and&fzz=d) | Find it with Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Emachines+BIOS+%2F+Motherboard++T2885+Windows+XP +Home+) | Research manufacturer Emachines (http://members.driverguide.com/index.php?action=getinfo&companyid=365)

User Guides and Specs, that's all eMachines has posted for this machine. http://www.e4me.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T2885

This is all I can suggest:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/EVEREST-Home-Edition-Download-16369.html

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

And it might help if you posted the bios id string.
