I have an old Cyrix Media GX Mother Board with CyrixInstead 266 Mhx MMX Processor.

This mother board has built-in Audio, Video, Multi Media.

Audio Port on the mother board has the following information :

Analog Devices
AD1819AJST SOUND PORT
BTB13757A 0.6
9837 UK

BIOS Informnation as follows
Program : Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 1.9
Program : Unicore Chip Detect v0.72 2000.03.10
BIOS Date : 10/13/98
BIOS Type : Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID : 10/13/1998-GXm-Cx5530-2A434001C-00
BIOS Eval : GXm+ 02810

CPU INFORMATION AS FOLLOWS

VENDOR : CyrixInstead
Instr. Family : 80586
Frequency : 266 MhZ
Stepping : 0h
Type : M2
Model : 47h-Gx86(tm)/P150

I have searched and loaded most of the nearest drivers for sound port.
But whenever a bit of sound is playing the system is hanging.
(1) Cyrix Media GX MMX Drivers from Driverguide.com
(2) AD1819 drivers from Driverguide.com
(3) GX drivers from Driverguide.com

I tried with Windows 98 SE, Windows 98B & Windows 95 also (Every time I used to format the Drive C And re-loaded each OS)

None of the above worked for me. My problem of Hangind and giving error messages with a words "VXD & VMM". Finally I have to press reset
button to run the system for other than sound works.

Is it Sound Port problem ? OR
Is it Drivers problem ? OR
Is it any Hardware Problem ?

Pl. let me know the reason for my problem ? I shall be verymuch thankful
to the one.

Thanking you

With Regards
